Episode Notes

With the introduction of new weight loss drugs like Semaglutide, Wegovy, and other GLP1 medications, I thought it was time to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly, and look at this through an honest lens.

In this episode, we’re diving into the deep end as we discuss the relationship between body positivity, fat acceptance, and the nuanced conversation around health, weight loss, and self-love.

This episode talks about what I'm encouraged by as it relates to weight loss drugs and the concerns I have about them too. Semaglutide, Wegovy, Tirzeptide, Liraglutide, Zepbound, and all the other names for this class of drugs are here and making waves.

I'll be the first to admit, if I was still deep into my weight loss journey I would have been the first in line for these drugs and wouldn't have cared about the side effects or potential consequences. Now though, I'm older and wiser. I have time and experience on my side and I know a thing or two about sustainable weight loss.

My opinions might surprise you, trigger you, annoy you, or give you some relief if you've been thinking about what these drugs could do for you.

I would LOVE to hear all about what you think about them. Have you tried them? Are you using one now to support your weight loss goals? How is it going? Send me an email and let's chat!

Don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review the podcast. It helps more than you know!
