Dr Stephanie Seneff author of Toxic legacy has been a loud voice in opposing the use of the weedkilling chemical glyphosate called Roundup by the agricultural sector. In this episode we explore what this chemical is and discuss how it negatively affects not only the health of animals in the laboratory but also livestock. We hear of the environmental implications of its use but chillingly we also hear about how it affects human health, our reproductive and our endochrine systems. Dr Seneff explores the damage to the nervous system in humans including neurological damage. Expect learn of the increase in glyphosate use and a corresponding increase in the numbers of children being diagnosed with autism in recent years. We discover how the use of pesticides and herbicides impacts our microbiome, our gut bacteria which has been linked with the maasive increase in gastrointestinal disorders in recent years. We learn that you can't wash glyphosate off affected foodstuffs as it is absorbed into the tissues of plants. This is a subject that is of concern and a very current one given in North America these chemicals are widely used and in Europe a decision has only recently been made to allow the continued use of this glyphosate weedkiller for another 10 years which really needs to be examined.
