Over the last few years especially, the risk of catching an infectious disease has changed the world. Whether that’s sanitising our hands constantly, staying three feet away from each other, or wearing masks, we’ve adjusted our lives to avoid potential illness out in society. But the statistics of leading health issues tell us a different story - we should be looking closer to home.
Examining the choices that we make day to day is critical in reducing our health risks. Our environment is full of potential risk factors such as toxins in our diet or stress at work, and we can create maladaptive strategies to cope with the daily influx. In this week’s episode, we’ll be looking at the toll lifestyle diseases are taking on our bodies, from childhood through to adulthood. Whilst typical medicine focuses more on fixing the physical symptoms that arise from these illnesses, we’re taking a holistic view of the root causes of these issues - and how you can stop them in their tracks. Using one of our favourite (and easy to understand!) holistic frameworks, we’ll be breaking down the link between lifestyle illness and your physical, biochemical, and emotional health. Only by treating your body as a whole, can we heal the sum of your parts.
We’ll be discussing:
😷 Influences of lifestyle and environment on health risk factors
😷 The leading causes of death and suffering across health groups
😷 Poor mental health and the impact it can manifest in the body
😷 The triad of health: the physical, biochemical, and emotional branches of healthcare
Get ready to unlock your inner light and start healing from within!
