In today’s episode Eoin chats with Rhi Beynon (@_type1rhi).
Rhi was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 16, after failing to be officially diagnosed by doctors for over 2 years!
Rhi dealt with the signs and symptoms of her diagnosis for a 2 year period, being told that they were “normal” for a teenager to experience. Eventually Rhi and her mother knew something wasn’t right and they had her diagnosis confirmed via blood test.
Rhi hasn’t always had the most “productive” relationship with her Diabetes, and highlights how she used to hate the condition.
She has now done a complete 360 and outlines how she’s learned to “love” her Type 1 Diabetes, and wouldn’t change it if she was given the choice.
As always, be sure to rate, comment, subscribe and share. Your interaction and feedback really helps the podcast. The more Diabetics that we reach, the bigger impact we can make!
