In this episode we have the honour of speaking with Brittany Van Schravendijk of "KB Fit Brit". Brittany is a kettlebell sport lifter with multiple records and achievements under her belt. Her full bio can be found on her website here.

We covered topics like:

- why and when Brittany stepped into the Ice Chamber gym

- spreading her wings beyond the San Francisco / Berkley area

- why she started making kettlebell technique videos on youtube

- the upsides and downsides to online resources

- youtube celebrity changes the game

- ask not what you can do for your organization, but rather what your organization can do for you

- what does the organization offer other than a ranking table

- combining ranking tables gets messy, why bother?

- out of half a dozen organizations, "I don't think any organization thus far has totally gotten it right..."

- how do we create diversity in competitions, while integrating them all into a cohesive calendar?

- what is the appropriate time between competitions?

- the value that consistent training has in your progress, in the absence of obvious changes

- mental training, and ideas on how to get the most out of post-comp reflection

- a good program should challenge you and build confidence, rather than crush you

- shit happens when we think "more is better"

- you can't peak all the time - there's is a reason behind pulling yourself back

- "[Denis] isn't ready to lift 32's all the time..." - professional weights take a toll on your body

- overcoaching...it happens. By game day, the work has already been done

- the check-in (ask your athlete what they need before you overcoach)

- different lifters benefit from different coaching
