Everyone knows that exercise is good for them but is it possible to get too much of a good thing? While exercise provides many health benefits, at some point working out too hard or too long can increase the risk of magnesium and mineral depletion engendering a whole slew of health complications. In fact, intense exercise like training for marathons or endurance could be an admirable endeavor or it could put you on the sidelines. Consider Len’s recent correspondence with our Customer Service team: I happened to receive a copy of the book “The Magnesium Miracle” about a week ago and upon reading it was very, very impressed. I have ordered my first bottle of ReMag. I am 81 years of age and kept very fit all my life by running 100 kms every week up and down the mountains where I live. In my 50’s I started running marathons (always in less than three hours) but in my 60’s I was forced to start bike riding because my knees had worn out. In my 70’s I engaged in four quite challenging bike rides for various charities in Cambodia, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Myanmar. Last year at age 80 I was starting to train for a 3,000 kilometre ride across Southern Australia with a friend and a group from his church when I was hit badly by A. Fib. which had bothered me with occasional episodes for some 20 years (once in the middle of Mongolia). However this episode last year didn’t go away as had the others and eventually it resulted in a heart disease called Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy which I am told is incurable. I was hospitalized and now have been advised by my cardiologist to avoid any strenuous exercise – a short bike ride or walk each day is all I am allowed to do. I purchased magnesium powder, but the problem of diarrhea hit me badly. So when I read the book I was quite elated and to learn about ReMag and experience the relief so many people speak of – Len M, Australia In The Magnesium Miracle, Dr. Dean cites a study of young, healthy, well-conditioned men, noting that “strenuous effort was reported to give rise to persistent magnesium deficiency and a related long-term increase in cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar.” The study results suggest “the decline of athletes and other intensely training individuals during exertion is triggered by the detrimental effects of persistent magnesium deficiency on the cardiovascular system.” (The Magnesium Miracle, Kindle page 2133) Your personal trainer is unlikely to tell you about magnesium supplementation as part of your overall training program but Dr. Carolyn Dean will be happy to tell you all you need to know! With years of research and success behind her, Dr. Dean has proven to herself and many others than an effective regime of magnesium and mineral supplementation, along with amino acids like taurine, are a true game changer for any athlete - amateur or professional. Tonight on our internet based radio show, we\'ll be talking with Dr. Carolyn Dean about how to avoid becoming Sidelined by Magnesium Deficiency along with a wide range of health topics and safe solutions. You will love hearing the beneficial interactions with our callers and hosts alike including the body/mind connection, identifying the \'conflict\' in the \'conflict basis\' of disease and much more!!
