Part 2 of the conversation with Dr Nataly Woollett is about how to have empowering conversations with your children about sex, sexuality and sexual health matters. In some ways the conversation is an attempt to re-educate parents so that they make sure to be the primary purveyors of information about the birds and bees, as opposed to friends, the internet or television. But it’s also a way to give the whole family the appropriate tools and language to talk to children about their bodies and teach them to have clear boundaries and age appropriate knowledge about sex.
