There seems to be a real push on for assistants to aspire to more. Even the term 'assistant' is apparently uncool! On the one hand, you're being told that you're more than 'just an assistant' and then seeing programs that promote you to aim to be more than just an assistant. I don't know about you, but I'm confused. In this solo episode I share my perspective on the realities of the assistant career. What it looks like to be an assistant for a 'reason, a season or a lifetime' and why no one path is right for everyone. I also share why I believe that:

- You are valuable and of value as an assistant

- You can expand the boundaries of your role as an assistant - You are not your job and you are not tied to the manager or leader you support And why I encourage you to: - Get clear on your value - Get clear on your values - Build your confidence and your competence
