Gentling the soul through equine therapy. Suzi talks about an organization dear to her heart, Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue and how horses are helping veterans to heal. Horses live in the moment, and they are sensitive to energy levels, so it is important to be honest about how you are feeling in that moment.
Your thoughts, feelings and actions must be the same in order to be honest. If you are being honest with how you are feeling the horse will respond in kindness. One has to learn to be congruent, consistent and how to pressure and release when interacting with the horse. One practice used is a "Please and Thank you" approach.
Listen in as Suzi gives examples of how they work to gentle the wild horses and use this practice to help veterans to heal.
