Marina Carrier - Awakening Through Abandonment, Dark Night Of The Soul, Finding “The Rock,” “In The Church But Not Of It,” From Faith To Science And Back Again
Manage episode 389276782 series 3407806
Marina Carrier lived through early trauma as an unwanted child who was sexually abused by her step-father until age 9 when she was left for dead. Despite her suffering, she was led through God’s will to a career as a teacher and a PhD in education.
At a pivotal time involving mental and physical exhaustion, as well as a husband’s betrayal, she heard her name called by God and was given early retirement to return to the Church. Through the “dark night of the soul,” she unravelled her trauma and embraced her Faith in love. Her trauma healing journey brought renewed compassion and will to serve others who bear the burdens of lovelessness and shame.
Please enjoy this episode with Marina Carrier as we explore trauma, faith, and surrender. May it be an invitation, a gift, and a medicine to follow the threads of your own darkness into the Light.
