Welcome to Episode 1.2 of Beyond Deconstructing. I’m T Jamaica Pogue, affectionately known as Deconstructing Neuro, and I’m on a journey to help reframe how we understand and treat neurodivergence - in particular autism. We will be deconstructing the harmful stereotypes and assumptions about neurodivergent people and the many negative effects that hinder us from receiving a proper diagnosis and adequate accommodations to live a life where we can thrive instead of fighting to survive.

In this episode I had an opportunity to chat with the phenomenal and funny Erika Heidewald. We touched on the ways self diagnosis, or self identification, has been a benefit to the autistic community. We also dive into the different ways we've evolved thus far in our journeys to unmasking and fulling owning our truth as autistic women.

Be sure to follow Erika @erikaheidewald on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. You can also find her on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@ErikaHeidewald, Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/erikaheidewald and on Only Fans.
