Finding light in the shadow reflects on the significance of mental health awareness month. Sharing her personal journey as caregiver to her husband who battles long term depression and anxiety. Through her own experiences, Alexis discovered the power of creativity as a tool to express emotions. Particularly writing and painting. Alexis found it challenging being divorced in 2004/5. And expresses heartfelt gratitude for the inspiration and uplifting of her children. There is emphasis on the importance of encouraging support and reaching out to loved ones and or friends during tough their tough times. As Alexis concludes this touching episode you'll hear her personally written poetry. I believe it truly admirable how her words, commitment and shares can encourage listeners to embrace each other and offer a hope they are cared and supported for during their own unique care-giving journeys.
