Siobhan is a physiotherapist at Sports Medicine Specialists in Toronto and is also a member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada (SPC). Siobhan helped to organize a the SPC Concussion Symposium which was held in Toronto on November 26, 2016. She talks to me about the symposium; who spoke, highlights, what its goal was, how it was received, and more. Siobhan was also a competitive figure skater (ice dancer) for Canada and now coaches at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club. We talk briefly about balance, dizziness, and the vestibular system which is important in figure skating, and in concussion management.We talk about the role of physiotherapists in concussion management, and what she sees in her physiotherapy clinic and in her involvement with figure skating.
