At the end of May, Mike Dalske is riding his motorcycle from Pennsylvania to California - but he’s not doing it for the views. This 30-day adventure aims to raise awareness for mental health and PTSD, and make a difference for veterans and first responders across the nation.
After three decades of service, Mike understands the value of passion and purpose. He retired as a Senior Federal Air Marshal after 20+ years of service, and before that spent 11 years as a US Army Military Police Officer. In this episode, Mike shares his personal struggle with PTSD and how it inspired him to take on this epic fundraising ride.
The planned route, which begins on "The Loneliest Road in America" (US Highway 50) and the returns on iconic Route 66, will support the incredible work of the Motorcycle Relief Project, a nonprofit that provides recreational therapy to veterans and first responders with PTSD and related issues by taking them on 5-day motorcycle adventures.
Listen and learn how you can support this noble cause, and be inspired to take on your own challenges, whether on the open road or in daily life. To learn more, find Mike on Instagram or search “Mental Health Awareness Ride” on GoFundMe.
