This week on the Courageously Unconventional podcast, I'm joined by Priyanka Venugopal. I met Priyanka several years ago when I was working as a coach for physicians who wanted to lose weight. It was such a joy to coach her, and it has been SO fun and inspiring for me to watch her go from practicing as a physician to becoming an entrepreneur over the years. In this episode, you'll hear more about her story of leaving medicine to create the Unstoppable Mom Brain coaching business, where she helps high achieving professional moms lose weight without a calculator, and create more sustainable ease at work and home.
What really stands out about Priyanka's story is that she wasn't burned out when she left medicine. She actually used coaching to love her work MORE, but she decided to go toward what was lighting her up even more than that: having her own coaching practice.
The real highlight of her story is that you don't have to hate things to change your life. And this goes for any area of your life, not just your career. It's okay to change things just because you want to change them. However, it doesn't mean that change doesn't come with doubt, uncertainty, sadness, and grief. Any transition includes things that you must work through on your way forward.
We also talk about:
- How she worked through her all or nothing thinking to embrace change and uncertainty that comes with living and working unconventionally
- Using your intuition to guide your decisions
- How to reverse engineer your decision making by flash forwarding to the future
