Agriculture brings wealth and sustainability to every society, yet all cultures approach it differently. Agriculture extension programs offered by universities are unique to the US. In many counties, a farmer's gender determines which crop they will produce. Kerri Wright Platais, special advisor to the Chancellor and director of International Agriculture at CSU Spur, studies the nuances of agriculture to help feed the world's growing population.
