Isabelle, de nieuwe film van regisseur Ben Sombogaart, is gebaseerd op de gelijknamige novelle van Tessa de Loo. Een dorp in de Ardennen wordt opgeschrikt door de ontvoering van de mooie Hollandse filmster Isabelle, die daar op vakantie is met haar ouders. Niemand verdenkt de zwijgzame, mismaakte schilderes die in de dorpskroeg werkt. Zij is degene die Isabelle in haar kelder opgesloten houdt. Ze hongert Isabelle uit en schildert het verval, alsof ze de schoonheid wil vernietigen. Floortje Smit spreekt met Ben Sombogaart over de film Isabelle.
