Description - Cooking with Mee Hee: How to make homemade Galbi

In this podcast episode, Mee Hee talks about her favorite Korean dish, Galbi. She explains that Galbi, which consists of short ribs, can be prepared in various ways and can be used in stews too. You can find this cut at International Markets or get it cut by a butcher. Mee Hee also shares the ingredients for her marinade and provides instructions on how to cook Galbi on the grill. She notes that since it is a thin cut, it does not take long to cook. Yiesha and Mee Hee conclude the podcast by serving Galbi with rice and suggesting any preferred side dish that you like.
Galbi Marinade Recipe “Measure with love”
2 Lbs of Flanked Short Ribs
3 Garlic cloves
½ of a Kiwi
3 TBS Brown Sugar
½ cup Soy Sauce or to taste
1TB of Sesame Oil
Mix ingredients in a small blender for a few seconds. Check to make sure the brown sugar is blended thoroughly.
Put the meat in the zip loc bag and add the marinade. Make sure you cover all of the meat with the marinade.
Marinate overnight on a flat pan (baking/cookie sheet)
