I promised it, so here it is – a special edition of sorts, a bonus episode of The Exhaust Port hosted solo by yours truly, Todd Canipe. On the 20 year anniversary of their release, I decided to give some thoughts on the Special Editions of the original trilogy films, attempting to be as objective as possible while laying it all out. I also touch on the generation gap that helps to explain (at least in my mind) why some of the most prominent Star Wars fansites aren’t as objective about these releases as they should be…. Finally, I end on a bright note, revisiting my initial thoughts on The Force Awakens a little more than a year after it’s release. Did I still feel all the warm and fuzzies? Dig in and find out!
