Mauri ora whanau, part 1 of our 3 part series which focuses on adolescent health, today I speak with Jase Williams the principal of Henry Hill primary school in Napier.
Jase has turned the culture of his kura around with this new (not new) approach "Trauma informed care". This approach has had some amazing results with not only the tamariki at his kura but also the whanau from the kura and the community also. Today we speak about what trauma informed care is and how it can be used to help our rangatahi that are having mental health struggles.
A great, impactful episode whanau that I hope you all find something useful from.
