Motherhood often isn’t what we expect. When it comes to our children’s development, there are many ups and downs, and it can feel overwhelming if your child has a disability or special needs. In this week’s episode, I’m joined by Pam Heron, a parent coach who specializes in helping parents advocate for their children in the school system.

As Pam unfolds her story of advocacy and adapts her teaching skills to support her own children's unique challenges, you will find a treasure trove of wisdom on how to confront and successfully manage the intricacies of securing proper care and education for their children.
Through our insightful conversation, the episode peels back the layers of the school system, giving parents the tools and confidence to trust their instincts and ask the pivotal questions that will pave the way for their children's success. The importance of clear communication with educators is stressed, along with the necessity of collaborative goal-setting. Pam's experiences provide a relatable and empowering narrative for any parent on the frontline of advocating for a child's rights within educational settings.
