"You don't put up boundaries. You have boundaries. You put up walls." ~ Lawrence Joss

Host Lawrence Joss has invited a panel of parents who have 'been there before' to share the benefits of their hindsight. Today's episode unpacks some of the common mistakes parents make when trying to reconnect with their loved ones.

The beauty of this episode is that if you are dealing with family estrangement or alienation, just by listening in, you give yourself a shot at not making some of the same mistakes.

There is good advice for parenting in general, too – from not putting too much pressure on your kids in terms of them communicating with you, to not asking one child about how another child is doing (i.e., placing your focus on the child you are actually with). There's also wonderful insight into the rooms of PA-A, and the tools you can learn to deal with family estrangement.

Please come along and learn how to start the journey of healing yourself to heal your life.

In This Episode:

  • Renée shares on her alienation of over 25 years (with ‘first contact’ a few weeks ago).
  • Georgette shares the alienation from her 27-year-old child.
  • Understanding the various terms used to describe parental alienation.
  • Focusing on the child that you are with (not asking about those not there).
  • Putting too much pressure on your kids (and not allowing space for them to meet you halfway).
  • The spiritual experience of feeling safe in the rooms of PA-A.
  • Learning how to have boundaries.
  • The distinction between putting up boundaries versus walls.
