In this episode, Asmaa Methqal and Laura Rubinstein discuss the five core feminine power principles and their importance to women, men, and society.
The five core feminine power principles being explored in the episode are compassion, cultivating joy, conscious choice, creativity, and connection/community.
1. Compassion:
  • Compassion is important not only for the world but also for oneself.
  • Having more compassion for yourself can lead to generating more compassion for others.
  • Heart-centered women are continuously engaged in knowing themselves.
  • This process of self-knowledge is ongoing as we have layers upon layers to uncover and understand.
  • We need to make friends with our self-critic using self-compassion.
  • Society often teaches us to be critical and judgmental of ourselves.
  • Compassion is a feminine quality that when embodied creates grace.

2) Cultivate Joy:
  • Joy is often disregarded but highly important in today's world
  • Cultivating joy involves actively generating moments of pleasure and finding ways to incorporate them into daily life.
  • Pleasure and joy can be found in various activities such as sipping tea, watching sunsets, going for walks, or engaging in hobbies.
  • Joy is a choice that can be cultivated and practiced like a muscle.

- Joy is an underrated emotion that is difficult to sustain.
- Cultivating joy is important and not innate to us.
- Our soul is meant to experience joy and pleasure.
- Creating little pleasures in life is key to sustaining joy.
- Identifying things that add to our daily joy and building the joy muscle can help sustain joy longer.
3. Conscious Choice:
  • Conscious choice entails knowing oneself and making decisions that bring you joy knowing that it brings more joy into the world.
  • Making conscious choices requires self-compassion, understanding personal preferences, and expressing them without negativity, anger, entitlement, or blame.
  • Honoring oneself and making choices for personal growth and well-being contributes to a brighter world.
  • We review why giving ourselves permission to make conscious choices is key.
  • Authenticity and healthy boundaries are naturally established through conscious choice-making.
  • The bottom line: Making conscious choices that are good for you is also good for others, and brings more light into the world.

4. Creativity
  • Creativity is the fourth principle discussed and is an essential part of expressing oneself.
  • Creativity is not limited to artistic talent but can be expressed in any form such as cooking or playing an instrument. Even thinking differently or telling stories invokes the creative process.
  • We invite you to spark your creativity through small actions like drawing (but not art, just shapes and colors) or dancing.
  • Those with female bodies have a direct source to creation and the ability to create life.
  • Creativity can be taken to a new level beyond just the arts and involves constantly creating, such as new cells in our bodies and new ideas.
  • Raising a child is a creative process and involves developing a human being.
  • It's important to embrace the creative process and allow it to flow.

5. Connection/Community
  • The concept of community doesn't require a large number of people.
  • Individuals can create their own version of community-based on their definition of connection.
  • Creating a "tribe vibe" can come in various forms such as art, nonverbal communication, or businesses.
  • Connection and community are essential for feeling whole.
  • We develop relationships with everything, including people, cars, homes, and nature.
  • Women have a natural inclination towards developing relationships.
  • Feeling connected to life has many benefits, and the world becomes our playground.
  • Having a community of like-minded people is a support system that we can always come back to.
  • Creating a community of women or men is foundational to feeling connected to the world.

There is always a gift or lesson to be learned from whatever one goes through in life. Many individuals only listen to their critical voice (which is their fear), and that inhibits the possibility of self-discovery, growth, and fulfillment. It's time to embrace the feminine principles of compassion, cultivate joy, conscious choice, creativity, and connection/community. Let's transform our relationship with ourselves and the world.
