Getting Loopy started its life 4/08 - almost ten years ago! And ended 12/11. I was resistant to getting sponsorship, the infrastructure was costing me a fortune, and most importantly I felt like I was repeating myself - ranting at the wind, having said everything I had to say on the state of crochet. Boy have times changed! So much new and different going on. I don’t have any less opinions than I did then so that part hasn’t changed much! I don’t want to sound like I am bragging, I really don’t, but it’s amazing to me how much Getting Loopy changed the crochet world. Old school Loopy Groupies who dipped their toes into the professional crochet world because of things they heard on this show are running the world now. Friendships were formed in the chat room that carried over into meatspace and are still holding strong. People heard me complain about things I thought were unfair and took it upon themselves to do something about it, and accomplished great things. Stuff happened. I even got a profit sharing check from BTR the other day. It wouldn’t buy much but it got me thinking about how people still listen to this show - ten years later. So here we are again - welcome back
