The Doubleclicks stop by to talk to Andrew about their new album, Lasers and Feelings, due out Tuesday, July 9th. Hear clips of songs from the album, listen to the thoughts behind the songs, and prepare to buy this awesome music.

Angela and Aubrey (the sisters who are, collectively, The Doubleclicks) continue to impress, musically, and their new album is a big step forward on their path to domination. Lasers and Feelings shows off a growing confidence and sure-footed way with their particular genre, whether you want to call their genre comedy, nerdy, heart-on-my-sleeve odes to various obsessions, and/or all of the above. The album, their first full-band full-studio affair, reflects a whole new level of effort for both of them, and tracks like The Mystery’s Gone (or the tango-tinged Christmas Ain’t About Me) clearly show that the results were worth the work. Bravo, Doubleclicks, and more, please.

Heard in this episode (in order of appearance):

The Robots are Coming (Ladies of Ragnarok Chillout Mix) – Molly Lewis, The Doubleclicks (written by Far From Close)

Christmas Ain’t About Me – The Doubleclicks

The Guy Who Yelled Freebird – The Doubleclicks

The Mystery’s Gone – The Doubleclicks

Nothing to Prove – The Doubleclicks
