Many people have asked, and here it comes- Gastrointestinal Parasites in Goats.

This episode is Part 1 of what is planned to be a 4 part series, and we are going to get to know the enemy. In order to have a plan to manage GI parasites, it is vital to know which ones you're dealing with and know about their life cycles and survival strategies. In this episode, I break down the major GI parasites- HOT Complex (Hemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus), Cestodes (tapeworms), and Nematodirus.

The rest of the series to follow:

Part 2: Knowing your Weapons

Part 3: Strategies for Diagnosis, Prevention, Treatment

Part 4: Perils & Pitfalls (AKA Please don't do that)
