Welcome back to the Happily Hormonal podcast! Today I'm excited to share an inspiring story of healing through homesteading.
My guest, Jocelyn Jennings, is a stay-at-home mom of two who teaches others about homesteading through her podcast, The Farm Family Table. After struggling for years with PCOS, she decided to take her health into her own hands. Jocelyn dove deep into researching holistic solutions but found herself overwhelmed trying various diets and supplements.
That's when she realized the power of simple lifestyle changes. Embracing the homesteading lifestyle allowed Jocelyn to slow down, be more intentional with her time, and connect with her food in a meaningful way.
By reducing stress and immersing herself in hands-on activities like gardening, she experienced significant improvements in her energy levels and overall well-being.
Listen in as Jocelyn shares how homesteading transformed her health, and how it can do the same for you.
In this episode:

  • [01:50] Get to know Jocelyn and learn how she got into homesteading through her own health journey with PCOS
  • [05:30] The decision to heal naturally after resisting doctors' recommendations for birth control and other drugs to treat PCOS symptoms
  • [08:56] Back to the basics: starting a garden, baking bread, and focusing on whole foods over diets and supplements
  • [19:36] Slowing down and finding balance for mental health and reducing stress
  • [22:04] Tips for beginners on starting in the kitchen and gardening without overwhelm
