I went to the Northern Community of Pinehouse Saskatchewan in search of teachings to help me understand my roots, but also to share with my community. That’s where I met a man in recovery, Elder Peter Morin.
I spoke with him about culture and recovery and When I asked him if he’d like to be interviewed, he said “Of course, that’s what I am here to do.”
In this episode Elder Morin talked to me about how his drinking got started, how turning to the land helped him find healing, and some really powerful insights into how culture saved his life.
