It's never been easy being a teenager, but young people these days experience particularly high levels of poor mental health.

A study surveying thousands of Australian high schoolers in Year 7, and again in Year 10, has found six lifestyle behaviours that seem to have positive effects.

Hint: an extra hour of sleep a night could make all the difference.
