"Getting Started" is something we all have struggled with at some point. In today's episode, Courtney and Brigette adapt some frameworks (nursing process, Plan-Do-Study-Act rapid cycle process improvement framework, and System Development Life Cycle) to use for any things in your life you are wanting to get started on.
Courtney discusses an adapted version of the PDSA cycle that she likes to use for projects. Brigette proposes a Wholeness model for taking action and walks through what to do in each step to set you up for success in whatever it is you're starting. The stages for this model are: Assess & Analyze, Plan & Prepare, Implement & Do, and Evaluate & Adapt. Courtney and Brigette agree that checking in with yourself frequently throughout the process is essential for optimal health, and propose a 5th "self-assessment" stage.
Listen in for details on different activities that could be done in each stage to set you up for success - however you are measuring it - and make you feel more confident to getting started and taking action.
