Today on Holistic Dentistry I’m joined by my guest, Dr. Shilpa Sayana, triple-board-certified MD in internal medicine, obesity medicine, holistic & integrative medicine and a certified practitioner in functional medicine with a specific focus on women’s health, hormones, and medical weight loss.

In this episode, we’re discussing Dr. Sayana’s training on “root-cause medicine” and alternative ways of preventing disease and illness. She shares the story of a diagnosis with a benign tumor and how in turn, she became interested in a holistic approach to medicine that attempts to figure out the root cause of illness. We also discuss the impacts inflammatory conditions have on the body, the four pillars of gut health and hormone optimization, and mindfulness practices for stress management.

Lastly, Dr. Sayana shares ways to reconnect with yourself and the impact small changes have on our overall well being.

Do you have a mouth- or body-related question for Dr. Sanda? Send her a message on Instagram! Remember, you’re not healthy until your mouth is healthy. So take care of it in the most natural way.
