In this beginner's breakdance tutorial, you will learn the "Salsa Step", also known as the "Salsa Rock", an 8 count combo to practice on your own, how to add the “Groove” to the step and what to do with your arms. The "Salsa Step" is very similar to the "Kick" step, but now you will utilize your hips to add a little bit more style to your "Kick" step. Some Tips for learning the basic Toprock, the “Salsa Step" or the "Salsa Rock” - After you kick to the front you will switch your feet instead of just placing your foot down like the "Kick" step -You will twist your hips when you switch your feet after the kick - Twist your hips in the direction of the leg that just kicked (e.g kicking with your right, twist hips towards the right) - To help twist your hips, point your knee at a 45 degree angle when you switch your feet -To create more of a snap during the step out/untwisting of the hips, turn your knee of the center/base leg towards the direction you are stepping -To add the “Groove”, remember to rock back on the whole counts and reset/rock forward on the WHOLE counts If you like this video and would like more tutorials like this, make sure to like the video, give it a thumbs up and leave a comment below =] Get More Great Tutorials - Subscribe: ? https://goo.gl/SsYmbk Share this Video: ? https://youtu.be/gXrR5XDM8Js Join My Patreon Community To Support These Tutorials ? https://www.patreon.com/Darrenrwong For More Breakin' Tutorials, Tips, Courses and Private Lessons ? https://www.darrenrwong.com Music: Tonez&Re-C - Kyoto by @TONEZPRO (OFFICIAL) https://soundcloud.com/tonez-pro Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported— CC BY 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ Great Days by Joakim Karud https://soundcloud.com/joakimkarud Creative Commons — Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported— CC BY-SA 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ **Disclaimer** These tutorials are meant to help spread the knowledge I have been fortunate enough to come across throughout my years of dancing.
