Mary-Louise performed the first national prevalence survey of healthcare-associated infections. She developed the first standardized surveillance and analysis system for HAI on behalf of the Australian Ministry of Health.

I think it is a very salient reminder, but sadly, the world often doesn’t take these reminders seriously until we are on the precipice of disaster.
