When Elizabeth Raymond’s mom Chrissanne wanted to feed her children in a healthy and holistic way, she developed the recipe for a veggie burger now known as “NoBull Burger.” Decades later, Elizabeth and Chrissanne co-founded the NoBull Burger brand, named by Elizabeth’s late brother Luke. In this conversation, we talk to Elizabeth about NoBull’s mission to create delicious and healthy veggie burgers that allow others to eat as close to the earth as possible. We dive into the importance of eating good to feel good and how they channeled tragedy into growth to bring mental health to the forefront of their brand.
Elizabeth Raymond is Charlottesville born and raised. After attending the University of Virginia for her Bachelors in Psychology and a Master's in Education, Elizabeth then ventured into the entrepreneur world with her mom, as one of the Co-Founders of NoBull Burger, which produces and wholesales veggie burgers to grocery stores and restaurants throughout the country. NoBull Burger spreads the message of “when you eat good, you feel good and ultimately live a happier, healthier life” and focuses on using only real-food ingredients and chef-driven flavor. When she is not immersed in the many hats of running a business, she also spends time working in her community through organizing the Luke J. Raymond Foundation, along with her family, which advocates for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Following her passion for health and wellness, Elizabeth is a certified yoga instructor (RYS 200) and meditation teacher and dedicates time to teaching the tools of yoga and mindfulness to the mental health community and the underserved. Elizabeth’s passions include encompassing the many facets of health and wellness, both physically, mentally and socially and very much enjoys enhancing her life through serving others, spending time in nature, yoga, anything involving food & travel, and learning more about this wild world we live in.
