In this episode, I'm honored to interview Professor Thomas Seyfried, a renowned expert in cancer research. He is a professor of biology, genetics, and biochemistry at Boston College. Prior to this, he was an assistant professor of neurology at Yale. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles and has been awarded by multiple prestigious organizations, including the NIH. He serves on several editorial boards, including those for Nutrition & Metabolism, Neurochemical Research, the Journal of Lipid Research, and ASN Neuro. Dr. Seyfried is the author of “Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management, and Prevention of Cancer (Wiley Press).” In this episode, Professor Seyfried shares groundbreaking research on the metabolic origin of cancer. We cover both the genetic and mitochondrial perspectives. We explain why the genetic view is outdated and misunderstood and how the mitochondrial theory better explains cancer. We discuss cancer and nutrition, lifestyle, and natural methods for inhibiting cancer growth. We also cover cancer prevention and ways to prevent cancer progression. We discuss real-life clinical cases using metabolic therapy and their success. We discuss the keto diet, water-only fasting, and the GKI index. Finally, we highlight practical tips for managing and preventing cancer through personalized metabolic therapies and discuss the role of supplements and cancer screening. ------------------------------------------------------ FREE GUIDE Download a free supplement guide: https://inkaland.co/supplement-guide ------------------------------------------------------ SIGN UP / FOLLOW Newsletter: https://www.inkaland.co/newsletter Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/iaminkaland/ Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/@iaminkaland?sub_confirmation=1 ------------------------------------------------------ DR THOMAS SEYFRIED Boston College Profile: https://shorturl.at/idHR5 YouTube: - X: https://twitter.com/tnseyfried Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thomasseyfriedbc/ RESEARCH & BOOKS Concept paper: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PxYA8cOA-Vu53TOPp5BX3Dff0I8nmlYq/view Cancer As a Metabolic Disease: https://shorturl.at/OoU9n ------------------------------------------------------ DISCLAIMER https://www.inkaland.co/disclaimer ------------------------------------------------------ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Introduction 01:00 Professor Thomas Seyfried introduction 02:50 Cancer: genetic vs mitochondrial origin explained 05:10 Genetic theory of cancer: misconceptions 08:15 Research: mitochondria transfer experiments 09:00 Metabolic theory of cancer 12:45 Why cancer grows and how to stop it naturally 14:26 Why heart and brain do not get cancer 15:55 Fermentation and cancer proliferation 16:55 How ketones stop cancer growth 18:00 Traditional cancer treatments and problems with them 21:35 Metabolic therapy: Glucose, Glutamine, and Ketones 21:24 Water-only fasting, keto diet, and paleolithic living 22:20 Press-Pulse Therapy 23:15 Glutamine 23:55 Glucose is not essential, ketones are 24:20 How effective is metabolic therapy? 25:18 Cancer as a Metabolic Disease by Dr. Thomas Seyfried 25:50 Fermentation in cancer cell: Glucose, glutamine, mitochondria (Warburg) 33:20 What causes cancer?
