This is part 2 of the interview with Jacqui Childs, we continue from our previous discussion and dive into the darkness of her past (CW: rape, suicidal ideation) where you get to hear the human side of a brand called Jacqui Childs…but what happens when the human side feeds the trolls, the creepers, the fanatics? We talk about the ups and downs of social media, microdosing, and overcoming the past. In part two of the interview we continue where we left off last time, just about to get into Jacqui’s unsettling story of rape and how it affected her trajectory as a person. She then shifts gears to discuss microdosing on mushrooms and cannabis as a therapeutic alternative to antidepressants, and an overall therapy for her Chron’s disease, depression, anxiety, and the residual anger and hate from her past, to the person she is today, having learned empathy, forgiveness, and good sex. Finally, Jacqui talks about what it’s like being a social media influencer and living as a brand, dealing with safety concerns, death threats, and creepy fans who obsess over her in severely unhealthy ways.
