Today, Jonah and I podcast as he sits on a branch of a Cypress Tree in a swamp while camping with his eldest son. His office is about to be flooded out due to a swollen river, yet he is 10 hours away by car hunting giant 30 lbs. water rats eating all the vegetation. He's helping a friend with a government contract to stop the rats from harming the environment! Meanwhile, only one employee made it into the office, and she has 500 Groupon orders that need to be shipped within 24 hours with no way of swimming to the post office! I undoubtedly believe that in order to achieve, what I coined, #SustainableSuccess the key is to be able to persevere through crisis and hardship. I lost my youngest sister to suicide and attempted my own in 2008, and nearly lost everything -- my real estate, my horses, my home...Yet, Jonah and I both agree that this is what makes us who we are, and as I reiterate, gets us to our greatness sooner than later, only if we choose to welcome every challenge and obstacle as an opportunity for wisdom! Along with this is, never define yourself by your circumstances.
