In this next episode I share my chat with Brana who talks me through the birth of her little girl Evie and her very recent pregnancy loss. After undergoing testing due to concerns following a routine 12 week scan, Brana and Ross received the news that their little girl had Trisomy 21 also known as Down Syndrome. She shares much more surrounding Evie’s diagnosis which I know many other parents can relate too. Brana then chats through her induction and the decision to bring Evie into the world via emergency caesarean birth. We chat about the early weeks of Evie’s life and how as partners and parents Brana and Ross support one another. We then chat about pregnancy loss at 10 weeks gestation. Brana mentions this pregnancy “kept us warm” throughout an incredibly tough period of Evie’s life. She also shares some special moments after losing their Bear which I will let you hear for yourself (last picture 🌹)Honoured to share Branas story as a nod to World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March. Thanks Brana
