Our podcast this week deals with a very common topic, Hypertension. We hear a lot about hypertension, or high blood pressure, but we can't stress the importance of blood pressure control enough. High blood pressure is a killer, it's a significant risk factor for developing Coronary Artery Disease, the leading cause of death in the United States! It's also considered a huge risk for stroke, heart failure and kidney failure. Anyone with poorly treated hypertension at least doubles his or her risk of developing all of these conditions. The higher the blood pressure, the higher the danger. Please click here to download the accompanying text; http://islanddrug.com/podcasts/HTN.pdf
