Thomas Schumacher, President of Disney Theatricals, joined Laura in November 2017 to talk about the 20th Anniversary of The Lion King on Broadway. They became fast friends, digging into his long history with the Walt Disney company, including his ushering in a new era in theatre with this groundbreaking production. This was the first interview in which he discussed the casting and plans for the new film, which now (nearly two years later) is in movie theaters everywhere! And of course you can still see the only TRULY live-action Lion King at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City and on stages all over the world.
