When remembering the Love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. Keep in mind only 1 of the 5 options is Gift, have ever asked what their preference is among the following 3 gifts? 1. Gift, 2. cash or gift certificates, or 3. spending time together, doing what they wish. Please do not make assumptions on what they will prefer, simply ask. Often people choose your your presence over your presents. Make sure to give your gifts more on random occasions and stop the expected times such as Xmas, birthdays and valentine's day. Course of action: Please discuss this subject with your immediate circle to see if they do care for gift at all and take action, This may save you lots of money while increasing level of satisfaction At times we come up with routines and rules that make sense at the time but as the time goes on they take a wrong turn and no more make sense. We have to reevaluate the things we do to see if they serve us what they are supposed to. I believe giving gifts on different occasions is one of the things that has taken a wrong turn and makes no sense anymore. A tradition that needs a major review.
