First one should decide what's their main purpose in life, a "mission statement", then the smaller goals can be aligned to get there.
I hope the main purpose in life is to have a good life, be happy. In that case the following are some of the main contributors to happiness: Income ($85,000.00 yearly/household income), health, social connections, purpose, daylight, vitamin B6 and fatty fish, exercise (aerobic more than strengthening), gratitude, sleep, laughter/smile.
A bad structure is better than no structure. Then at least you'll know what to fix and change.
There is time and place where we should go with the flow and not stick with our plans.
Review your life from time to time otherwise you can get sidetracked easily. To make sure you are addressing your weakest link. Remember your weakest link keeps changing and there is always a weakest link.
