Hello world, welcome back to the mess! I hope you're doing super good and you're feeling content and fulfilled.
Summerbreak is over, it's time for more MESSNESS (huuuuy!). I am back with really (really, really) great news: I finally took another steps towards my life mission and started my own company.
It's called littlehappymess (I know, this must come as a shock! Who would have thought that..) and I offer (energetic) counseling sessions in Vienna - so you can book one-on-one sessions with me OR try out my mission purpose course where I assist you in finding and manifesting your own purpose, your soul's desire for your life. I work with inner child, inner team, chakra healing, guided meditation, energy healing, solution-oriented systematic Coaching, vision board creation and goal-setting practices. AND THERE IS EVEN MORE TO COME, stay tuned!
ENOUGH of the advertising - let's get to this episode. Most of us humans live in a state called victim consciousness, where we merley react to life and don't actively try to create the life including it's opportunities, relationships, ... that we want.
Life happens to us and we feel like we don't have control over any of it. Spoileralert: I am feeling that way often enough but I have learnt how to get myself out of victimhood and reactive lifestyle choices and I am constantly getting better at it (and everybody can do that! It's a matter of practice, reflection and breaking certain habits). There are things, often times terrible things happening in our lives that we have no control over.
On the other hand, many things are in our hand, like the people we surround ourselves with, the media we consum, the food we eat or the mental and physical exercises we practice. Most importantly we always have a CHOICE of how we react to circumstances in our lives. We can see ourselves as the victims of our stories or we become our own heros. Easier said then done but worth trying and embracing every day.
EVERYONE has suffered through bad experiences, childhood trauma (or trauma in adulthood), terrible mental states, been in aweful relationships and so on. And life really does suck sometimes. It can be cruel and believe me I know what I am saying. But even the most terrible things can be endured if we take responsibility for ourselves and see ourselves as true heros. True heros often find themselves in situations where they are confronted with there biggest fears but that is also where they usually find who they truley are.
They find out about their gifted nature and experience immense growth. Mystic, publicist and professor Joseph Campbell describes the so-called "hero's journey", which this episode is all about in 4 steps including the call to adventure, the initiation phase (including testing and "enemies"), the transformation phase and the return back home. We go through all of those steps all our life and get to pick up our (wake up) calls (to action) and get ready for our adventures. We go through all kinds of trials (facing our "enemies" or really our FEARS), experience immense growth and transformation and bring our gained knowledge and values "back home" (in the environment we started in)...
Today's further material is Joe Campbell's "Hero's journey" (Hero with a Thousand Faces: The Collected Works of Joseph Campbell ) and the documentary where I learnt about Joseph Campbell in the first place -"Finding Joe". It's on Youtube, it's free and it's super easy understandable and inspiring:

Lotsa love,
Nina
