Travel to Iran!

About this episode!

We pick up with Wilma leaving Iran as the revolution began. She then travelled to Saudi Arabia to earn some travel money and visits Iraq, Syria and Turkey before heading back home to Germany.

Following the most pleasant divorce in recorded history, Wilma started searching for a new job. Narrowly avoiding London, she set off for a new job in Hong Kong at 23.

Facing a new set of challenges in the far east, Wilma learned how to parachute with the ghurkas and taught her parents how to eat with chopsticks. Also lots of weekend trips in South East Asia.

Again, Wilma returned to Germany to learn some more about English before heading off to Jakarta, purchasing Javanese furniture and homewares to export back to England.

Travelling around Indonesia, Wilma learned to love the country and still goes back whenever she can. Having to leave basically overnight she learned the importance of getting work permits!
