This week we discuss the Peter Weir film The Way Back (2010) a film starring Ed Harris, Colin Farrell and Jim Sturgess about seven escapees from a Russian gulag in the 1940’s. Then we discuss the John Ridley documentary Let it Fall (2017) about the conditions and decisions that led up to the 1992 LA riots.

Next we have our longest running segment called Hidden Gems. Nick and Joe discuss films that they feel are under-appreciated. Nick has a French Canadian film called Starbuck while Joe has a bit of tie-in because it’s title is so similar The Way Way Back.

Then as always we select our films for our next episode. Nick has a French animated film called April and the Extraordinary World while Joe has a well received drama called Carol.
