In the eighty-eighth minute of The Avengers...Tony gets the engine going, and in his HUD we can finally read the altitude. They’re much lower than we would’ve thought. Apparently, that’s why it’s been okay for Clint to be hanging out on the deck. Regardless, we also look at some other HUD readings, and it doesn’t look good for Tony. Is the 312% referencing how overtaxed his suit is as it tries to keep up with the spinning engine? He loses control and then gets bounced around under the fan blades. Is that logical? Should his suit be a bit more... damaged?
Meanwhile, Steve’s managed to pull himself back up and pulls the red lever finally, all while having to dodge shots from the utility stunt player as one of Clint’s men. This is the last one. So how many did they take down exactly? Apparently, Loki and the pilot don’t care if anyone’s still alive as they take off. Tune in!
