Today we are joined by Anthony and Denise to discuss the latest horror sensation, Nope. Nope was directed by Jordan Peele, and follows two siblings who discover something wonderful, sinister, and otherworldly. Critics hail Nope as an undeniable success, but the story is riddled with holes and pitfalls, and the unsatisfying ending summates the general feel of the film.
It makes one wonder whether critics would think differently if it was directed by someone other than Jordan Peele; it seems he can do no wrong. We talk about the characters and their confusing intentions throughout the movie, how many concepts are great but not fully developed, how the subplot is disconnected from the main plot, and some ideas on how the movie could’ve been improved. You’ll then get a list of other movies of a similar nature that we think are much better than Nope. Join us for another brutally honest movie review with Denise, Anthony, and Michael Pisciuneri!
