Elizabeth Goodfellow; Los Angeles-based drummer, percussionist, vocalist and artist. Beth grew up in Northern California’s San Joaquin Valley and started playing drums at age eleven at local harvest festivals. Her first professional drumming job was playing in the Air Force National Guard Band of the West Coast while studying classical percussion performance at San Jose State University. In 2003 she was selected to the IAJE’s Sisters in Jazz Quintet which performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival. After working for over a decade in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, an appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2012 and a studio recording job with Swedish singer Per Gessle (Roxette) inspired her to move to Los Angeles to pursue her music career further.
Elizabeth has played with the likes of Iron and Wine, boygenius, Better Oblivion Community Center, Allison Russell as well as self produce and record multiple solo records. She joins My Pop Five to break down Wilson Phillips, Pink Elephants on Parade, Sweet Thursday, National Velvet & Music For 18 Musicians. We learn about her musical journey and the ways she has grown to accept the entirety of her journey.
