In this episode, I talk about 3 routines I’ve incorporated into my mornings to have a more intentional approach to my day.

They say life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond. And yes of course our response and reaction to life is crucial, but I might argue that the 90% actually comes from how you approach a situation and the mindset you have leading into anything.

Without being centered in your own mind, it is really hard to lead life from a place that feels authentic and grounded when life throws us off which will inevitably happen. So, I invite you to take a step back and reflect on how you start your days and consider trying something new!

Tip 1: Intentionally be excited and curious about your day.

Tip 2: Listen to intentional music, podcasts, YouTube videos that will get your energy up or will teach you something productive that will give you more confidence throughout your shift.

Tip 3: Intentionally decide to leave any baggage at the door so you can be present with your patients and to what is happening around you.

Never underestimate the importance of a positive morning, no matter how quick or simple it is. Decide that your day is fun and exciting, and I guarantee you will have a much higher chance of that coming to be than just passively going through life and seeing what happens to you. Let me know what you do to start your mornings. What playlists or podcasts do you listen to? How do you get excited and focused in on the day? Reach out on Instagram @nurseduda!

I hope you have an amazing day, and may you find light in every shift.
I love you guys!
