Get Ready To Schlock! The boys are revisiting April 11, 1986 and the Judge Reinhold comedy OFF BEAT, the Gremlins wannabe CRITTERS and the ultra low budget schlock “classic” THE TOXIC AVENGER.

As Will says, “KEEP EPISODE 73 OUT YA F***IN’ MOUTH!”

April 11, 1986: The bullies and bad guys of Tromaville, NJ are having their heads bashed apart and their intestines ripped out by The Toxic Avenger, who just wants to be loved. Meanwhile, on Manhasset, Long Island, 13 year old Fred is having his romantic life bashed apart and his heart ripped out by his girlfriend, who just wanted to make out during “Young Sherlock Holmes.”

Yes, Joe Mantegna and Judge Reinhold are smooth dancers in “Off Beat”, but they don’t hold a candle to 9th grade Jason getting to 2nd base while partner-dancing AND while dressed like a sailor.

And who screamed louder in the spring of ‘86? Dee Wallace Stone as she’s being attacked by furry killer space creatures while lamenting the fact that she was in ET four years earlier or Dan as he’s watching the Mets music video VHS on a loop? LET’S GO CRITTERS GO! (SLAP) “Keep The Mets out ya f***in’ mouth!!!”

All this and an extra foamy grande Tarchino on Episode 73 of Opening Weekend!
